Part-time Digital Marketing Specialist

Having experienced significant growth in the last 18 months we are expanding our team and are on a search for a digital marketing assistant to allow us to continue to strengthen our brand position in the marketplace.

The opportunity

We are looking for a part-time savvy and passionate Digital Marketing Specialist to be a key member of the team and to help take our sustainable baby goods brands' digital marketing to the next level.

We have exciting growth plans ahead and we are looking for someone to be a key part of that growth. 

The Digital Marketing Specialist will be responsible for the execution of our content marketing strategy across our owned media, including email and social media channels to drive sales, and to build brand awareness and to educate our community.  

The role acts as the voice, tone, and moderator of the brand through all digital channels through content distribution and community management with clear KPI’s to drive sales within these channels. 

This role works closely with the Marketing Director and customer service team to execute our marketing strategy to build a loyal and engaged community.

A key part of the role will be building and managing our creator program to generate UGC and organic content.


Key responsibilities & duties

  • In collaboration with the Marketing Director develop a quarterly marketing strategy to build brand awareness and execute across all digital channels.
  • Execute all email marketing content in line with the content calendar, working closely with copywriters and graphic designers to execute a plan that achieves revenue targets for the business.
  • Create and curate UGC content across our social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, Google, YouTube, Pinterest, and Tiktok).
  • Manage and monitor the social media editorial calendar in collaboration with the Marketing Director.
  • Write engaging long and short-form captions, schedule and repurpose content accordingly per social channel as required.
  • Monitor and report on engagement and key metrics across each channel and continuously tweak and improve based on results.
  • Work closely with our customer service team to ensure queries and comments via social media are responded to in a timely manner.
  • Drive user engagement, corresponding in real-time across all channels, through content strategy & community management.
  • Develop ambassador program including outreach and engagement with brand ambassadors, creators, affiliates, and partners.
  • Content generation, Briefing creators to generate UGC content for use across all digital media channels.
  • Assisting at consumer trade and brand events 


Academic qualifications

Would suit someone with (or studying) a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in business, marketing or communications or a mum re-entering the workforce.


Work experience and skills

  • Must have experience creating and editing reels and tik tok video’s.
  • Experience in a social media marketing or communications role.
  • Excellent communication, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong experience in writing captions that align with the brand's tone of voice.
  • Experience with various social media channels and demonstrated ability to grow an organic following on each platform.
  • Highly proficient with social media tools including FB/IG Studio, Planoly, Pinterest, GMB, Canva, and InShot.
  • Strong knowledge (or can easily adopt) in software such as Trello, Shopify, Klaviyo, Google Analytics, Facebook Ads Manager & Google Ads Manager.
  • Must have a systems-thinking and a growth mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
